ABOUT BEEHIVE MONS2015
“Beehive” is an ongoing artistic research experiment developed by Ars Electronica for collecting and contextualizing video content from visitors during Mons 2015 – European capital of culture. In the broadest sense it is a cross-media system for crowdsourced video documentation. Beehive serves as the central metaphor: like in a society of bees, registered participants swarm out, capture footage of an event from a multitude of perspectives and return it (to the hive) to be ingested into the collective pool.
